Based on the reviews, I called the Bank of America PPP Loan # 866.457.4892 and asked if 888-717-4033 was legitimate. After verifying my account with them, she looked up the number and said yes, that was the remediation department for BofA and something is needing attention in my PPP Loan application and to give them a call back, as she didn't have access to that part of the review process. So I say Safe!

As soon as she wanted to "authenticate" me by verifying my password, I told her to prove she worked with Bank of America by sending me an email. Definitively a scam. I pity the people who believe this is legit.

Received a call from this number with their extension number regarding my ppp forgiveness. I was confused at first, but they help you organize your application for SBA.

Said they were from BOA and that I needed to add State/Local taxes on my forgiveness application. I live in Florida; we don't have state taxes. They knew the amount of the loan. They wanted my SBA loan number or BOA account number. Scammers!

Got a couple of calls from they want me to think it was bank of America SBA, regarding my PPP loan. I found it strange that BOA would call me on the phone for such a matter and I refused to give away any details. They knew my whole name and some details of the PPP loan. I refused to give away any info and the woman voice kept saying in a strong russian accent that they started to work on the application. Have not picked up the second call. Be aware !

The caller claims to be calling from Bank of America, but this website is the only place I could find where the number is listed, so definitely suspicious. I was asked to provide a PPP loan number which I do have, but didn't say why they needed it or what the purpose of the call was. They started asking for personal information so I again asked what the purpose of the call was but got no additional information "until they could look up my case". If it is a legitimate call, BofA needs to get their act together and communicate better. Otherwise I'm treating it as a scam and would suggest others do the same.

Called and left a message that they were from Bank of America but this wasn't a sales call and to call back as soon as I could. I called back and they wanted to know my loan number with the bank (I don't have a loan) and started to ask for other details when I hung up on them. BEWARE
