Claimed to be from AOL. Claimed my account was hijacked from a location in Des Moines, Iowa and also Virginia. This woman was of Filipino ancestry, speaking flawless English, with a slight accent. She said I needed to sign on my AOL account from either a PC or laptop. I declined to do so. This smacked of a "vishing" scam on 28Dec21, where I was defrauded of $500.

Called my cell phone about 11:45 yesterday morning. Fundraising for above organization. I hung up in middle of his spiel. No matter how legitimate-sounding cause is, doubt much of money collected goes to those in need. In any case, I'm not giving money without researching their organization.

When I answered phone this morning about 11:30 local time, first thing caller said was "May I speak to the head of the household?" I told him I was the only one here (true). Don't know why he would have asked that. He then said he was Brian with American Law Enforcement. I didn't feel like dealing with a fund raiser, so just hung up. CID only showed phone # and "NONE."
